Production Manager

Job Summary:
Hayden Industrial is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations for our facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role is critical to ensure efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting project timelines. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and experience in the HVAC or heat exchanger industries.

Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce workplace safety regulations and maintain a safer production environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and provide necessary training to staff.
Production Oversight
Plan, coordinate, and control all aspects of production to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
Manage the production schedule to meet customer demands and project deadlines while optimizing resource utilization.
Own cost control by monitoring labor, material usage, and overheads; implement initiatives to improve margins and reduce waste.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and implement development plans as needed.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all products meet company quality standards and industry specifications.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and address defects or process inefficiencies.
Process Optimization
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions, implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies as appropriate.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to maintain or improve efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery operates at peak efficiency.
Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and sales team to align production capabilities with business needs.
Act as the primary liaison between production and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Interface directly with customers as needed to provide technical updates, resolve production-related issues, and support relationship building.
Budget Management
Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Analyze production costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
Hayden Industrial has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the HVAC or heat exchange industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of air-cooled heat exchanger manufacturing processes and materials.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While the position primarily involves office work, it may involve occasional lifting of materials or documents up to 25-30 pounds. The role requires good vision for reviewing contracts and other documents, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in meetings. Physical stamina is needed for extended periods of sitting and walking.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Travel:
Travel is required for this position.
